A Student’s Perspective: My Internship Experience at Seetru Studio

sswebadmin 15 August 2022 0

Starting a new journey is always nerve-wracking, going from a university student to working as an intern in an unfamiliar atmosphere was a big step and I didn’t know what to expect. But I’m still in the learning phase and entering a new stage of my learning experience will always be exciting and scary to me.

I found Seetru Studio’s internship program through their website, a creative graphic design agency specializing in the construction of multimedia products, usually focusing on web and UI/UX design. My first week at Seetru Studio after being accepted as an intern copywriter was much better than I expected, the people were friendly and the guidance I received would always help immensely. My job was to help with any tasks given, do work related to copywriting, and help out with projects. A lot of what I’ve learned and done so far are things I never thought I’d be capable of doing or understanding on any level. Still, after a few weeks, it got easier, and I became more aware of what we do here at Seetru Studio and how we help people with our services.

Things I Like About My Internship

One of the things I admire is how I’m given significantly important tasks that are crucial for a project and how they count on me to complete and understand them. I like the proud feeling and delight I get each time I’m able to help or complete something, especially when I understand the details and information thoroughly. Another thing I love are the surroundings, the co-workers, and how friendly they are. I consider myself an introvert, especially around new people, but I’ve only had good experiences so far with the staff here at Seetru Studio which is one of the biggest highlights.

\I also appreciate that everyone wants to learn and helps you learn, everyone explains things you don’t understand and they get you involved in activities you’ve never done or tried before, which is something I’m grateful for since my main purpose of being here is to learn new things and gain more experience for myself.

Challenges I’ve Faced

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced so far is understanding complicated terms or concepts I’m unfamiliar with. Seeing that it is a graphic design company, there are terms and phrases I read or come across that aren’t in my field of education, but that’s what helps me learn. From this, I was able to learn about new things and understand things better and gain more knowledge from them.

What I’ve Learned Throughout My Internship

In the end, there are many things I’ve gained while interning here, the first would be basic editing skills. Being here has helped me enhance my basic skills in using Google facilities, such as Google Document, Google Sheets, and other different editing platforms. The most important lesson I’ve learned however is to ask as many questions as possible. Any doubts can be resolved by asking questions; doing so will help you understand what you’re doing better and make you more confident as well as help you interact better with people around the office.

Being responsible, even as an intern, as your co-workers will rely on you to do your job or complete your tasks in order for them to continue their part as team members. And helping them when they need a hand or under certain situations was one of my roles as an intern. Learning from mistakes, that’s something I always keep in mind. We all make mistakes, it’s human nature. But making mistakes doesn’t mean you’ve failed, instead, I see it as a learning opportunity. It helps me understand what I’ve done wrong, what I should have done differently in that situation, and what to do the next time I encounter a similar situation.

The Advice I Would Give

The one piece of advice I’d give to someone who is going for their internship is to be confident and remember your purpose. Always be aware that you are there to learn, never get carried away for the wrong reasons, and remember that having the right mindset and attitude will help you immensely in your journey.

6 Ways to Create A Strong & Powerful Brand For Your Business

Mohd Shahrul Faiz 4 August 2022 0

Every business that wants to expand must begin the ongoing process of brand building. A strong brand image humanises your company and informs your target market of the advantages of using your goods and services. People’s perceptions of your brand are shaped by your branding, which increases brand value and loyalty.

Even before they make a purchase from you, people have an opinion of your company. Therefore, you should invest a lot of time and energy into developing your brand if you want to increase your chances of being well-regarded. Building a brand involves making a strong first impression on clients to get them to think favourably of your company. In order to stand out and increase sales, it includes developing a distinctive and trustworthy image for your company.

Here are some of the ways to create a strong and powerful brand for your business:

Know Your Target Audience

Identifying your target audience will lay the groundwork for developing your brand. So, in order to create a brand, you must first identify the target market. You can tailor your messages to meet their profile in this way. Be as specific as you can when defining your target audience.

When you are developing your marketing and business plan, keep your target clients in mind. Your brand identity gets stronger the more you understand your industry and your target market. Your target market must be more precisely defined so that the rest of your brand strategy may be developed with them in mind. Learn about them so you may properly develop your brand and concentrate on your marketing efforts.

You’ll come to understand that focusing on a smaller segment of your target market gives your company a competitive advantage when branding. By doing this, you can make sure that the intended audience receives your marketing message in its entirety.

Know Your Competitors

You are most likely not the first company in your field to sell the products or offer the services you do. One of the main elements in identifying and defining your brand positioning is competitor research (or market research). Never copy exactly what the leading companies in your sector are doing. You should be aware of what they excel in or where they fall short, though.

To distinguish your company from the competitors, research and comprehend their positioning. Additionally, the study will show how your brand stacks up against the competition and what the market thinks of it.

The top competitors in your niche should be researched as one of the initial steps in brand building. This will help you with brand development and point out what they are doing well (or wrong). Of course, the objective isn’t to imitate your rival; it’s to set yourself apart from them and persuade a consumer to choose you over them.

Create A Unique Selling Proposition

Establishing your company’s core principles and philosophies should come after you have a good understanding of your customers. Determine the advantages of doing business with your company over those of your competitors. In order for people to perceive your brand differently from your rivals, you must place it in their thoughts.

It takes some serious conscience and imagination to identify your USP. Examining how other businesses leverage their USPs is a good place to start. This necessitates a thorough examination of marketing materials and advertisements from competing businesses. You can discover a lot about how businesses set themselves apart from others if you examine what they say and what they sell rather than just their product or service features.

Knowing your competition will help you set yourself apart from them, and being aware of their moves will help you strengthen your own brand. Watch what they do to attract the market since you’re all vying for the same customers. Making note of which strategies work and which don’t will help you improve your own approaches.

Be Consistent

Once your brand has a solid basis, you want to make sure that your activities continue to strengthen and expand it. Conduct brand audits regularly to check that your vendors’, workers’, and customers’ perceptions of your brand are consistent with who you are. Then, keep addressing shortcomings, highlighting strengths, and taking additional steps to make sure your brand is still in a position to succeed.

While maintaining consistency is essential for building your personality, it’s also critical to have enough flexibility to be current and significant. While you don’t want to alter the core of your brand, you do want to be open to innovative campaigns, changing strategies that are no longer effective, and include fresh concepts that can help you continue to set yourself apart from the competition.

Develop An Identity & Voice

You may improve your customer interactions and increase sales by creating a compelling brand voice and using it across your content. Choose a voice or messaging that most accurately represents your brand by doing research on what your target audience sees and thinks about when they hear about it. In this manner, your brand’s personality is conveyed to your target market, and you learn how to strengthen your brand identity.

A possible brand voice is; professional, friendly, service-oriented, authoritative, technical, promotional, conversational, and informative.

When posting on social media or a blog, this is very necessary. Your brand’s voice will be more easily recognisable across platforms if you keep it consistent. When consuming your material, a community of followers, readers, or subscribers will start to anticipate a particular brand voice and brand personality.

Stay True With Your Purpose

Every successful company has a compelling reason for existing. Consider your brand as a distinct individual with a distinct personality. Describe every aspect of this individual, and then reflect those qualities in all that your company produces. More than only the commitments made in your goal and vision statements constitute brand personality. It’s the steps you take to keep those commitments.

Many well-known brands have origin stories, and your company should have one as well. For context, consider that 50% of consumers claim they base their purchases on a company’s brand values. People no longer purchase what you sell or do, they want why you do what you do.

This is the quickest approach to establish a solid reputation, which opens up additional business opportunities. Reviewing your mission and vision statements can also be helpful in determining your purpose. While vision statements discuss your goals for the not-too-distant future, mission statements often describe what you do.

Conclusion

Branding can make or break your business. A strong brand gives your company a distinct identity, raises its value, and attracts desirable clients. It entails spreading the word about your company using tried-and-true tactics.

It is now an unwritten rule that every business must have good branding. Due to this, many business owners have begun to enlist the help of brand strategists with the necessary experience and understanding in creating brands for other corporations. These are excellent first steps in brand building.

And as one of the leading brand developers in Malaysia, Seetru Studio provides a comprehensive and bespoke approach to your branding strategy. Browse through our services here to get the attention you deserve!

6 UX Mistakes To Avoid When Designing A Website

Mohd Shahrul Faiz 26 July 2022 0

UX design entails a lot more than just making eye-catching buttons and elegant layouts. A UX designer must create a feasible user campaign to make the task more user-centric, escorting users through the website or app and convincing them to cooperate with the deliberate touchpoints.

Before you begin, it’s always a good idea to brush up on design fundamentals. It’s critical to begin with a clear vision of what you want your website to accomplish and how it will do so. This is because today’s web design software has such a large number of tools and possibilities that even inexperienced designers can quickly become overwhelmed.

Many UX designers, on the other hand, are more concerned with their own sense of beauty than needs of their consumers. The critical UX mistakes to avoid when creating a website are listed below.

Poor Content

Do not underestimate the importance of your content. To improve the user experience on your website, you’ll need high-quality content. Any website’s content is its foundation. Incorrect layout, non-unique material, obsolete information, missing content, typos, and errors are among the most common content faults.

On a website, the focus of your material should be on the intended audience, and it should adhere to your brand’s fundamental message. It should provide your customers with useful information. To secure higher page rankings on the SERP, you should also follow SEO standards.

The website’s content is just as important as its look and functionality. If your website has too much detail, make it precise, brief, and bulleted so that readers can quickly discover the key message and remain engaged with your page. You can use relevant photos, video snippets, and infographics to draw users’ attention in addition to information.

Unclear Call To Action (CTA)

Many new businesses nowadays do not include a call to action in their marketing or sales pitches. To keep the website screen clean and unique, they hide the call-to-actions and alternatives behind explicit gestures. They are making it difficult for clients to execute actions on the website by obscuring CTAs on the interface’s element , which may drive some people to leave.

Call-to-actions like “Contact Us” will be very effective for you and practical for your users, adding to a smooth user experience. You can entice people to your business with CTAs, but you must ensure that each action is clear, as abiguity can have severe consequences.

For example, everything should be correctly placed with a clear call-to-action if you want them to sign up, seek a quote, make a purchase, or give you a call. Your call to action (CTA) is the action you want your website visitors to take. This is something you should be thinking about as a web designer all of the time.

Slow Page Loading

It doesn’t matter how brilliant or innovative your website is if it doesn’t work correctly in browsers. People are irritated by slow loading page and are compelled to leave that website. Your website’s performance problems are also serious.

The majority of visitors anticipate a website to load in 3 to 4 seconds, and if it takes longer than that, the website is providing a poor user experience. This is the most critical error to avoid because it causes high bounce rates and lowers consumer happiness.

Needless to say, if a website takes an eternity to load, it is highly likely that it will not rank well, thereby impacting its overall performance.

Improper Navigation

A major user experience error to avoid is believing that users will figure out how to utilise the website or app on their own. The navigation should be completely obvious and tailored to the user’s preferences. If they are frequently perplexed by the process, they will go on to something else.

The most important content on your website should be easily accessible. When people come to your website, they should be able to tell right away what you have to offer. It works for everyone in or out of your target demographic.

Your company’s core information on your website is another basic item to consider. Remember to keep in mind what your customers are looking for when building your homepage. Your company’s material may include general brand information, delivery and return policies, and FAQs, depending on the services you provide and the things you sell.

Every link that could be valuable should be easily accessible. You’ll notice how much your customers love the navigation once it’s been made effective, as seen by higher engagement and conversion rates.

Too Much Complexity

The most crucial thing to remember is to emphasis on content production and placement. You may have observed that search engines crawl pages with precise and bulleted content more frequently.

Most customers desire solutions that function smoothly and quickly, since today’s preferred websites have a fairly minimal user interface. Having too much functionality in the website right away can be confusing and impair the user experience. If you want to avoid this, make sure your software has high-quality features and functionality. You can continue to improve these features rather than creating new ones in the future.

Non-responsive Design

The majority of individuals nowadays choose to search for businesses or services on the internet using their mobile phones or tablets. A mobile responsive website is essential for catering to the largest number of customers accessing websites from various devices.

One of the most common mistakes made by web designers is failing to incorporate responsive aspects into their designs. Users nowadays demand mobile compatibility and responsiveness as a top priority. It is the most important, but also the most difficult, feature to incorporate in websites. Users want to use their smartphones, tablets, and laptops to access everything. If consumers discover that the website does not open properly on all devices, they choose to abandon it and go to another website.

If you don’t build your website or app with a responsive framework, your users won’t be able to get the most out of their experiences when using a smartphone. Don’t limit your users by making this simple and common error. For the best user experience, redesign your application to promote responsiveness.

Conclusion

The user interface and user experience (UI and UX) are the most important elements of a website’s design. If both of these catch people’s attention, it signifies your web design is a success. Without a question, you have an incredible website design, but by following the above guidelines, you may greatly improve your design’s user experience.

10 Ways Data Visualisation Increases Business Efficiency

Mohd Shahrul Faiz 24 June 2022 0

Data visualisation is used in business intelligence to explore this valuable user interaction data. Data visualisation is the process of displaying raw data in graphical representations that allow viewers, business analysts, and executives to explore the data and gain new insights.

People understand information more easier through images than through reports, therefore this visual approach allows you to make rapid and effective judgments. When visualising data, it is important to figure out what you want to say and then pick the correct graphics (widgets) to make your point. You can identify the areas of your business that need attention and improvement by using visualisation.

We’ll look at ten ways data visualisation can help businesses become more efficient in this article.

Easier to Understand

The simplicity and usability of represented data are some of the most important business benefits of data visualisation. We can analyse large amounts of data in a clear and consistent manner thanks to graphic representations, which allows us to understand the facts, draw conclusions, and view perspectives.

This is because, unlike spreadsheets or plain text, the human brain can digest graphic information fast and in larger amounts. Visualization provides just what our brains prefer by generating graphic content from data and facilitating the observation and interpretation of vast amounts of data. This increases the accessibility of information within an organisation or company, making it more effective in solving various business difficulties.

Identify Patterns

We can spot developing trends and respond quickly based on what we see when we use data visualisation. Big data analytics visualisation, when combined with modern algorithms, enables the discovery of patterns in data and, as a result, linked events. On a bubble plot, for instance, some of these patterns can be seen with the naked eye. Only sophisticated algorithms can identify the rest.

Since visuals and diagrams make it easier for humans to recognise strongly associated factors, these patterns make greater sense when graphically depicted. Certain connections are self-evident, but others must be identified and defined in order for us to focus on a specific data point with business implications. Managers can make predictions, spot trends, and create future-proof plans by analysing these patterns.

Data Visualisation story telling
Tells & Sells Stories

The dashboard’s function is to tell stories. By designing your visuals in a meaningful way, you can help the target audience absorb the story in a single glance and ensure that the message is conveyed in the simplest way possible.

The reason for its success is because storytelling is a concept that allows us to simply create a narrative using visuals and diagrams, which we can utilise to discover new insights and engage others using visual analytics. While text and written articles have their place, stories that incorporate data visualisation approaches can be just as successful, if not more so. Your employees will be more engaged and understandable if you provide the message in the form of a narrative.

Speeds Up Decision-Making

The ability to quickly absorb material in a visual format considerably outweighs other methods. In addition, the faster humans process information, the more quickly they can make decisions based on it. As a result, seeing a graph, chart, or other visual representation of data is more comfortable for the brain to assimilate than reading and comprehending words and then mentally visualising the data. When you employ data visualisation in meetings with clients or managers, you can expect those encounters to be more productive. Therefore, data visualisation may greatly enhance the pace of decision-making processes by allowing users to readily interpret visual data.

Detects Errors

When it comes to safety and security, it is difficult to overestimate the value of data visualisation. Visualizing your data allows you to rapidly spot any mistakes. If the data tends to recommend the wrong actions, visualisations can help uncover erroneous data earlier in the process, allowing it to be deleted from the study. In many circumstances, graphical data can assist managers in identifying dangers, detecting errors, and assessing and analysing risks.

Real-Time Tracking

By connecting dashboards to your data sources, you may review data in real time. While this may appear to be an apparent application of data visualisation, it is also one of the most valuable. One of the most important advantages of data visualisation in business intelligence is increased process transparency.

Managers can utilise visualisation tools to monitor system performance in real time, analyse user journeys, and track asset and resource utilisation, depending on the data source and business goals. Without the required information from the past, making forecasts is impossible. Trends over time show us where we’ve been and where we might go. These insights can be utilised to spot and address issues including system overloads, customer experience gaps, and squandered resources.

Recognises Relationships

Finding relationships between independent variables is difficult without data visualisation. The capacity to identify ambiguous relationships and correlations is one of the main advantages of large data visualisation. Big data visualisation not only aids in the interpretation of data. You can spot relationships and dependencies across data sets by putting them on one map or chart, identifying specific circumstances for certain events or results, finding links, and so on. We can make better business decisions by making sense of those independent variables. As a result, you gain access to exclusive information that would otherwise be unavailable if not for visual depiction.

Identify Insights

What you can’t measure, you can’t improve. Finding data correlations via visual representations is critical in today’s competitive corporate environment for identifying business insights. Continue with the current processes if what you’re tracking appears to be working. However, if productivity, quality, or service suffers, you’ll be able to pinpoint the source of the problem and make informed judgments about what to do next. Exploring these insights is critical for business users or executives to determine the best course for accomplishing the company’s objectives.

Creates Better Productivity

Companies in highly competitive areas rely on data to improve their products and services. Their capacity to respond swiftly to emergent issues, assess consumer input, and get valuable insights into product or service usage is critical to their success. As a result, knowing exactly what’s working and what needs to be changed will help your employees perform better in their jobs.

Data visualisation benefits convert into concrete returns quickly in this situation, because organisations that understand and use their data more effectively than their competitors and develop data-driven product or service strategies gain an advantage. Dashboards can also help you assess capacity, allowing you to evaluate whether extra training or new hires are required.

Grasps Viral Trends

You can use data visualisation to understand the newest trends in your industry so that you can supply high-quality products and anticipate problems. A company cannot afford for its salesmen and marketers to waste time analysing data or poring through spreadsheets. At the same time, creating massive, useful databases is meaningless if they cannot be used.

You can invest more effort into boosting revenues for your company if you stay on top of trends. This is because visualisation allows you to spot crucial customer trends quickly, efficiently, and easily. It helps professionals working in fast-paced, highly competitive workplaces receive rapid insight while reducing the time and effort required for manual analysis.

Conclusion

The ability to graphically express information is what makes data visualisation so valuable. Humans are extremely visual creatures, so anything that uses graphs, charts, and infographics to condense large amounts of data is a surefire winner. We require data visualisation since the human brain is incapable of processing large amounts of disorganised data and converting it into something meaningful and understandable. We need graphs and charts to communicate data results so we can spot patterns and trends and make smarter decisions more quickly.

Staying Ahead of The Game – The Importance of Website For Your Organisation

Mohd Shahrul Faiz 16 June 2022 0

The significance of maintaining a website on the internet is most likely nowadays, regardless of the type of users. A website can accomplish a lot of things for small businesses to large corporations, to be more competitive and boost their business. It should quickly give your audience what they want or need in an impactful way and should be developed with your target demographic in mind. You must create experiences that go beyond a simple, accessible website in order to leave a lasting impression on your visitors. For this, these are the importance of a website for your organisation, let us take a look at them.

Establish Trustworthiness and Credibility

A well-designed website may help you establish a strong online presence while also providing valuable information to your customers. A phone number, email address, or a physical address are great tools for sharing important information about your organisation with clients and answering all of their questions.

Moreover, having a high-quality, convenient website gives people confidence in using your services since they will expect the same excellent experience across the board.

Customers are more likely to trust a brand and use its services if the company’s website has superior features and navigation. As a result, websites are critical for businesses to establish their credibility and acquire customers’ trust. Local SEO services can therefore be used to attract a local clientele for businesses that are new to the market.

Information Exchange

Customers expect any brand or business to have an online presence via which they may obtain services. The ease with which a website makes information available to clients is one of the most appealing features. It is a tool for communicating with customers and providing them with the right information and tools.

Customers can communicate information quickly and easily through adverts, newsletters, and contact forms to help potential customers or existing customers with questions or feedback. You may even publish promotional films to truly engage your customers and market your business in an efficient and effective manner, where it is a great approach to advertise your social media platforms and create a consumer community.

24/7 Online Presence Along with Updates & Announcements

A website is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and allows you to post regular updates and announcements, as well as easily notify customers. It is the most convenient way to keep clients informed about the company’s current activities and future intentions.

This is a fantastic approach to stay in touch with your customers. Furthermore, when something is extremely relevant to them, you have a better possibility of upselling them. As a result, your clients and future consumers will be able to visit your website to learn more about your new and forthcoming products and services.

Digital Marketing

Your company’s internet presence will revolve upon your website. You can promote your company on social networking sites, forums, and pay-per-click advertising programmes all across the internet. If you have a website, you can have it appear in a Search Engine whenever someone types a keyword into the search box. This is made feasible by two types of marketing techniques, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Search Engine Marketing (SEM).

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is another term for search engine marketing. You can create your own target audience and use data such as age, gender, and geography to do so. You can be as general or as particular as you’d like. A digital marketing agency with a track record of success can assist you in developing and implementing a marketing strategy for your company that will attract relevant users to your website.

Growth Opportunity

A website can serve as a portfolio or resume for a business. This can be advantageous for businesses because the website can serve as a reference for possible investors who can learn about your services, what you have accomplished thus far, and your future objectives as a company, and invest accordingly.

Attract Organic Traffic

There is a good possibility your website will rank well in Google search results if you have constructed an excellent website employing numerous search engine optimization (SEO) tactics. Since users are more likely to click on results at the top of the page, ranking position on a SERP is very competitive thanks to search engine optimization (SEO).

Google is all-powerful for those in the business of driving organic traffic. Websites that rank on the first page of Google search results receive more than 90% of consumer traffic. Do not worry if your website isn’t there yet. You can employ tactics to improve your ranking, but you must first grasp what search engine results pages are and how they rank results.

Saves Time With Customer Service

Many businesses receive calls from potential or existing clients inquiring about their location and hours of operation. When you miss a call, the customer is annoyed. However, delivering customer service online is considerably easier and less expensive than hiring staff. This is when the value of having a website becomes evident since customer help can be delivered in a variety of methods, including FAQs and Chatbots.

You can cut customer support costs and save time and money by providing answers to frequently asked questions in a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) or Chatbot area, as well as providing much more information. This also implies that customers will receive a response almost immediately, saving time and promoting great customer relations in the long run.

Conclusion

With the invention of the internet, the world has shrunk in size. Any type of information is readily available and within reach. The internet is a wonderful thing, and it continues to change our lives, and the way we connect, receive and exchange information, and it helps in improving your business apart from your competitors.
