MDEC Malaysia Data Center
MDEC was established in 1996 to serve as the lead agency for the MSC Malaysia program. It is now a Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM) agency. MDEC's vision is for Malaysia to be known as the "Heart of Digital ASEAN," a regional digital powerhouse that will launch global champions to lead the Fourth Industrial Revolution, guaranteeing that the digital economy will empower all Malaysians.

A growing number of data centres in Malaysia led to MDEC’s search for a more integrated way for their website visitors to search for their locations. Without a more strategic approach, MDEC’s website visitors have to navigate through dense content and information. This led to visitors losing interest and leaving the website unsatisfied. With a fully developed website and an expanding list of locations, MDEC needed a quick solution for the visitors to make them stay longer in order to invest more time or money.
We provided MDEC with a simple solution; filters and maps. We put in a lot of work to strategise relevant information for the data centre locations. We sort their vast locations by combining two-level filtering with tagging on relevant data centres. Working with the client’s request, we managed to modify the interface and reposition the filter’s placement on the landing page.
This ensures that visitors can easily navigate through the content as soon as they land on the page. Furthermore, we integrate with Google Maps to elevate and ease the visitor’s experience when searching for locations. Now, visitors can locate data centre locations with only a few clicks.
